Home Game Routine

Please bear in mind that, when the game itinerary from Athletic Dept is published, some of these details may change a bit.

 This routine will be used for all of our Varsity home games with modifications for later call times once we get the routine down.

There is NO pep assembly this week. There WILL be one for the Sapulpa Game next Friday.

After School:  Leave for a while!!!  No sectionals on performance days.  Fine Arts meeting is taking place in the office, so directors are unavailable for a while.

Call Time:      4:30pm  (This will change for future games FYI)

Dress:             Same as for Meet the Sandites  (This will change for future games FYI)

                        Color Guard – Same as Meet the Sandites (Don’t forget whatever you’re going to wear during game on sidelines- check with Ms. Marrisa)

Itinerary:

Take any necessary equipment to band stands (WW cases, DL stands, FLIP BOOKS, etc)

5:10pm            Warm-Up in Band Room @ ARCS– (Color Guard Outside)

5:30pm            Pre-Stage for Parade in front of Wrestling Bldg

5:45pm            Parade to tunnels into SW gate

                                    STRAIGHT into a cadence to move, then…

                                    Fight Song 2x at tunnels

                                    After team is in, return to band room via back doors

                        PLEASE NO HACKING OR CRAZY DURING THIS TIME.

WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR STUFF OUT OF THE LOBBY AND STAY IN THE BAND ROOM. THERE IS AN EVENT UPSTAIRS AND WE SHOULDN’T INTERFERE.

6:00pm            In arcs in band room (Guard too!) for last minute details/tuning, etc.

6:15pm            Move to pre-game show location…

                                                Pre-Game Show:

                                                            Fight Song 1x

                                                            PEP & CADENCES TBD

                                                            Fight Song 1x

6:40pm            Travel to North End to wait going on field for STAR SPANGLED BANNER

6:45pm            Pledge of Allegiance (Participate appropriately!) & Star Spangled Banner

                        Then, move over on field for team entry…cadences?/fight song 1x (be attentive to audibles!!!!)

                        Afterward, WALK with purpose (don’t run!!!) out the North end gate and head to band stands.

7:00pm            Kick-Off

                        Grab a water on the way into the stands and hang onto the bottle for refills.

                        Stay in your spot in the band stands! 

                        Be ready to play at any time.

                        Sit on Offense, Stand on Defense.

2nd Quarter      We will go inside to warm-up (guard change clothes if nec.) at a certain point

Half-Time:       Cheer, Dance, Us

3rd Quarter:      Take things back to band stands & take a break

4th Quarter:      Be back (WITHOUT FOOD!!!) BEFORE the end of 3rd quarter.

                        Close to the end of the game, we go back to the field for Alma Mater at the End

After Game:    Put your things away and go home. 

                        Be sure you have legitimately put things away and left the place looking good. Remember our focus on accountability!

Other Details:  ABSOLUTELY nothing can be left in the lobby from call-time until the end of the game. 

                        There are community members coming and going to the Sandite Room during the game.

Thoughts:        Do you have what is necessary to perform well in the stands???? (Flip book & lyre???)

                        Have you memorized the Alma Mater & Star Spangled Banner?
