Where: We gather on E Pecan St. behind Atwoods to begin the parade and we end up in front of Chili’s on Main St. Students should leave their instrument cases in their cars. This area gets very busy before the parade, so please plan ahead. The best drop-off location is near Dollar Tree.
What to Wear: “Sandite Bands” hoodie, blue jeans, and tennis shoes (and layers underneath appropriate for weather). Christmas lights and other decoration are encouraged!
Dear CBMS parent(s),
We are so excited to announce that we will be marching again in this year’s Sand Springs Christmas Parade. The weather is getting colder, so we encourage the students to dress in layers underneath their hoodie with special attention to the forecast on parade night.
You will find a map of the parade route on the reverse of this handout. The starting point (A) and ending point (B) are labeled. Please make arrangements to pick up your child in front of the Chili’s parking lot at 1st & S Main St as soon as they have marched by. It’s a good idea for your family to watch the parade from somewhat nearby (on the Triangle or near the overpass.) We would prefer it if the kids didn’t wander off to find their families while the parade is still ongoing, so please plan to collect them right away after they go by and before the parade ends.
We are so proud of the work these kids do and can’t wait to show them off to Sand Springs!
Parade Route:
The parade begins by coming onto Morrow Road at Shibuya and proceeds under the overpass toward Taco Bueno, then right at Walgreens to Broadway where it proceeds to the Triangle and south to the overpass again.
