Band Picnic
Friday, August 19 at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The picnic will be held at River City Parks Sound Stage. Those who can help load food and other items, please be at the stadium concession stand at 4:30 p.m.
Concession Clean Up
Monday, August 22 at 6:00pm. The band is in need of approximately 10-12 people to clean both concession stands in preparation for the upcoming football season.
Concession Workers Needed
If you want to volunteer in the concession stand please use the Contact Us link and let us know. All you need is your food handler's permit for food preparation. Those workinig the window taking orders and money do not need a permit.

Summer Band Camp starts Friday August 5th and Mr. Wright has released a letter detailing what to expect during camp and what supplies each student will need. Mr Wright's letter can be found in the documents section or by clicking HERE for the letter or HERE for the supplies needed.
The deadline for senior ads for the 2011 football program is August 1st in case any students or parents who are interested. All pictures and information needs to be given to Pyramid Printing by then to be included. You can speak with Jeff Mayhue there. Pyramid Printing's phone number is 918/514-4073. Payment can be sent to the QBC at P.O. Box 283, Sand Springs, OK 74063. Payment must be received before the ads will be put in the program. You can address to the ATTN: of Darran Harger, Gina Hilderbrandt or myself. Ad sale costs can be accessed at www.sanditefootball.com . If you have any questions, please let Jeff Mayhue know. The website should be able to answer most questions.
Charlie's Chicken in Sand Springs will be hosting Gold Pride Band nights July 28, August 11, and August 25 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Some of the proceeds from those evenings will go directly to support the band program.
The Band Camp Picnic is scheduled for August 19 at the River City Park. More details will be posted as they become available.
The Gold Pride Band is looking for assistance in order to adequately staff the concession stand this year. You can find the current shifts available up by clicking HERE (opens in excel). If you want to help, please let us know the dates you want to work and I will put you on the schedule. You can do this by clicking HERE. If you are going to work with the food, you will need to get your food handler's permit. You will need to do this on your own time. All you do is watch a video. There is no test to take. Once you get your permit, you will need to let Robin and Jim Schinnerer know that you have gotten it.
A note to CPHS color guard members from Mr. Wright...I have a new coach lined up for you and I'm very excited to get started. We would like to have our first practice on July 11, Noon-4pm during the winds and percussion rehearsal. Come dressed for movement and bring water and your calendars so we can talk aobut a practice schedule for you. Thanks for your patience with this process! I feel very confident that we are now set up for good things! If there is someone whom you think would be a good member of this guard, have them come along on the 11th and check it out.
The next booster meeting will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at 7:00pm. This months meeting will be held at the brand new Fine Arts Building located next to the entrance gates of Memorial Stadium on the campus of Charles Page High School. During this meeting the boosters will discuss the upcoming marching season! Please try to attend and invite parents with younger students to come also!
Everyone is invited to the open house on Tuesday, July 5th at 6:00pm so please come and see the fantastic new home of the Gold Pride Band! Gold Pride Band members should read the attached agenda carefully and report at 4pm, dressed in the warm-weather uniform described there.
