Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Grand Opening

Meet in the Band Stand at the stadium at 4:00pm dressed in...

• The SS Logo Polo tucked in (if you ordered one, they are here and will be handed out before 4:00pm)
• Khaki shorts of a length acceptable to the school dress code
• A belt
• Marching band shoes or tennis shoes
• Socks - ankle length are acceptable for this uniform
• No hates
• No other accessories that wouldn't be worn with the formal uniform

Be sure you look sharp! This is a big deal in the life of this program and lots of people will see you perform for the first time together. First impressions matter!

Schedule:

4:00-4:30pm - Guided tour of the building all together. (Family members will need to wait until 6:00pm - Sorry!
4:30-5:15pm - Rehearse Alma Mater & Fight Song (start memorizing them!) and logistics info.
5:15-5:30pm - Band in place until performance at 6:00pm
     ~ Drumline possibly playing cadences outdoors as people arrive.
6:00pm- Welcome and Introductions by Mr. Snow
              Comments from Mr. Wright & mr. Whipple
              Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
              Alma Mater - Band and Choir
              Tours

After our performance you are free to go or you can stay for the school board meeting at 7:00pm. Please encourage your family to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Color Guard Members: The ceremony is taking place indoors, so it is impossible for you to spin. I'm really sorry about that! However, I would love for you to cme dressed as listed above and stand alongside the other band members and be a part of this great event.
